Walk-in Ultimate

Miss the registration date for Winter Session 1?  Still want to play some disc?  Worry not, there are still opportunities!

The community members who signed up for Winter Session 1 will be playing a Mercenary League.  Their games will be at 4p and 5p each Sunday from 9 November through 21 December (except for 23 November).  We're playing at Logan High School.

We have six walk-in spots available for each game during this Session.  Each game costs $3.  For the mathematically challenged, that's $6 if you want to play both the 4p and 5p games on a given Sunday.  Because of the nature of the league, you must show up no later than 4p (or 5p if you're playing only the late game).  If you are late, you won't be playing.

The standard blah blah applies: bring a white shirt and a non-gray dark shirt.  Bring clean sneakers.  Bring water, a good attitude, and your spirit of the game.  One non-standard but very important thing: NO BOOZE.  We'll apprise you of gameplay rules when you show up.

In order to prevent a glut of persons showing up for those spots, we've come up with a way to dole them out.  Each Saturday around 9a, we'll post a new entry to this blog.  Be one of the first six persons to comment on that blog post to reserve your walk-in spot!  Comments posted later than 3p on Sunday will not be considered as the organizers need advanced knowledge of who is coming.

We are not doing this for traffic: your comment can be as bland as, "This is Bob McDisc, and I will be there for both games."  We doing if for you: if those six spots are taken, then you needn't worry about showing up.  That said...

Have six folks commented on the post thereby taking the six walk-in spots?  Still want to play?  Come to Logan in the hopes that one of League players is absent.  If and only if a league player is absent will a non-commenting person be allowed to saunter on a team.  Please note that if all league players and all six commenters show up, then your trip to the gym was in vain.  Unless you are a good heckler.  Then heckle away!
