Bonobo at Wisco Swiss

The final season of Bonobo Handshake (hereforto know as Bonobo Deathgrip) commenced this weekend at Wisconsin Swiss in Verona, WI.

After a rocky start Saturday morning against the Beloit Wildcats, Bonobo pulled themselves together to score six points against KB's home team, Boomcity Pandas.  The first couple games are always difficult in terms of figuring out team chemistry, but things seemed to click by the third game.  Bonobo was up 12-7 over MUTT when the game was called for lightning and everyone made for the pavilion to wait out the storm while eating snacks and making Millie do tricks.  The fourth game of the day against Risky Bidness was by far the most competitive, but Risky had some fantastic hucks to win the game by two.

The sun was out on Sunday, and Bonobo took the first game of the 17th place bracket against Roundhouse Flick.  The second game against Spirit Foul was hard-fought, but Bonobo ultimately ended up losing.  The last game against Mustache Militia was by far the most spirited.  Each team won a beer-in-hand point, and Bonobo took the game.

Bonobo Deathgrip finished 19th out of 22 teams at Wisco Swiss, but more importantly, finished quite a lot of beer and had a great time playing Ultimate together!
