New Disc Golf Courses in the Coulee Region

If you've been down to Pettibone Park in the last six months, you'll notice quite a few changes.  The city removed a surprising number of elm trees, thus altering the landscape and making much of the disc golf course unusable.  In the last couple of months, The Mississippi Valley Disc Golf Club put a lot of time and effort in revamping the course to work around the new terrain and create a more challenging and entertaining course.   The result is now open, and I hear it is fantastic.  Head on down on one of these beautiful fall days and check it out!

There's also a new course just being installed in Sparta at Amundson Park (enter near River Road and Aspen Blvd).  This park is 110 acres of forests, so I can only imagine how fun the course will be.  Take an afternoon and find out!

If you're interested in disc golf for fun, leagues, or tournaments, Mississippi Valley Disc Golf Club is the place to find out.  There are leagues many nights of the week, and a few local tournaments coming up soon.  Give it a try!
