Judging by my aching body this morning, the First Annual LaX Indoor Ultimate Tournament was a success!
Congratulations to the UW-L Ultimate team for hosting a great tournament in the dead of winter when we were all itching to play some disc. About 40 people attended, including a group from Edina High School, several La Crosse community players, travelers from Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota, and plenty of UW-L players.
For all of you who couldn't come for some reason (Packer's game) or another, mark your calenders now so you can attend next time. You'll be glad you did.
And for those of you who might care how the teams did, here's the score reporting:
Officially, Teams 1, 2, and 5 tied for first place both in win-loss record (4-1) and in point differential between themselves. How often does that happen? Team 3 got second place with a record of 1-4, and Team 4 got fourth place with a record of 0-5.
(Unofficially, Team 1 won in terms of total point differential, and Teams 2 and 5 tied for second. But it's a hat tournament, so who's really counting?)
